Virtual Reality

Our content combines health, wellbeing, arts and everyday experiences that palliative, aged care and paraplegic patients are no longer able to enjoy through a more inclusive and immersive experience that a flat-screen TV simply cannot provide.

By putting on a headset and experiencing a totally new and immersive audio-visual experience in 360 VR, patients are given an opportunity to go to places they no longer can.

Your World VR is a visual and audio system designed to enhance the mental wellbeing of patients, regardless of age. Our virtual experiences range from an evening at a concert, opera or ballet, a simple trip to the park or the beach, art galleries, in-house intimate concerts, bars, restaurants, churches.

Patients will experience fully being part of the audience with patrons around them, creating the feeling of being back in the world they have spent their lives in no matter how long, short or diverse.

VR experiences can also include heritage sites, holiday trips or even dinner with family in an immersive virtual world.

We are two years into a trial at Bethesda Health Care’s Palliative Unit. This involves researching the medical benefits and gaining content ideas from patients, doctors and care givers.

By virtually bringing patients back into society, we are giving doctors, nurses and caregivers another tool for in enhancing the well-being of their patients during this difficult stage of life.
